Funded by the National Science Foundation, I interned at Johns Hopkins University to create a data dashboard to display the movement of data throughout one of the top materials labs in the country. Tools used include SQL, Docker, Cube.js, and Figma. Results were presented at Cornell University.
With Dr. Jacob Byl at Western Kentucky University, I conducted a 1,000+ participant survey regarding risk beliefs around prescription drugs. This was also extended to advocacy to local legislators for better regulations around attorney advertisements for class action lawsuits.
With Dr. Seyed Allameh at Northern Kentucky University, I co-authored the second chapter of Biomimicry for Materials, Design and Habitats: Innovations and Applications, an Elsevier-published textbook. I also presented our work regarding 3D-printed metal fatigue properties to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, NKU Board of Regents, and Kentucky Academy of Science.
With Dr. Bangbo Yan of Western Kentucky University, I explored more sustainable ways to produce metal organic frameworks to produce a bioadditive that makes fuel more efficient. My duties included literature review, experimental design, and synthesis.
